Overview
Senior Surveyor/Metropolitan Valuation Team (Remote Working) – CBRE UK. This role is part of the Metropolitan Valuation Team, focusing on small to mid-sized loan security valuations of commercial and residential assets. The role is offered on a hybrid basis with flexibility to work remotely and discuss minimal days in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct valuation and advisory work for loan security purposes, alongside senior team members.
- Conduct physical property inspections and assist senior valuers with more complex inspections.
- Collaborate with the Hyderabad and London Valuation teams on the valuation process and undertake quality control of their work.
- Manage opportunity records up to execution.
- Conduct technical aspects of property due diligence and review changes to valuation data.
- Select appropriate comparables, perform analysis, and draw conclusions.
- Perform valuation modelling (including DCF modelling) and provide support for senior valuers on more complex valuations.
- Maintain close liaison with clients to ensure high-quality advice is consistently delivered.
- Prepare valuation reports and assist with revenue recognition and related paperwork.
- Support senior team members with business development, RFPs and pitch activities.
- Complete setup activities in TOPS2 and ensure QRM compliance.
- Gather and share market intelligence and support the team with value-add tasks.
- Support training and mentoring of junior team members to develop management skills.
- Work flexibly across sectors and services within the Division and support other Divisions as required.
Person Specification / Requirements
- Bachelor\’s degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
- MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 18 months post-qualification experience.
- Knowledge of property valuation methodologies and techniques.
- Proficiency in valuation software and tools (e.g., Argus Enterprise & Developer) and Excel.
- Proficiency in reporting and data analytical tools to drive operational efficiency.
- Good understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in property valuation.
- Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support senior valuers, while also operating autonomously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate, and meet deadlines.
- Enjoys working under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Valid UK driving licence – if applicable.
