About the role:

Event activity forms a significant part of the Marketing strategy and this role will have ownership of all CBRE's Corporate Hospitality offerings and manage UK Client events. The Events Manager will direct all aspects of logistical event management, budget and external supplier management and advise on content where required. Success in this role rests on the ability to create unforgettable, unique experiences for clients and employee delegates. First, by caring about every detail of each event experience and secondly by being part of a team of Events professionals and helping colleagues to develop new standards of excellence. Imagination is required to constantly innovate the CBRE presence at major industry events and to work closely with the Events Director to uncover new opportunities for the business to entertain its clients.

What you will be doing:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage clear project plans and budgets for each event and co-ordinate with all areas of Marketing and Communications to produce outstanding client experiences.
  • Personify excellence in event management skills, ensuring all client interaction is first class and beyond expectation.
  • Demonstrate excellent briefing and response skills.
  • Implement all events efficiently and with an eye for detail and continuous improvement.

Event Strategy & Planning:

  • Implement an annual programme of client events to assist the service line teams hold relevant and timely conversations with clients, targets, referrers and strategic partners, to deepen relationships and grow the business.
  • Oversee all corporate hospitality offerings, ensuring colleagues can access a diverse array of client entertainment experiences that our competitors do not provide.
  • Introduce new thinking and innovation to our events approach helping shape the strategy of individual events, and the function as a whole.
  • Build relationships and work closely with the business to identify clear requirements to which events and hospitality can contribute.
  • Ensure all events add value at each stage of the client journey and reinforce CBRE's brand, sector and service line expertise.
  • Understand the role that content plays in events experiences and work closely with the Marketing team to integrate content into events.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the correlation between marketing, events and communications throughout the event process.

Brand:

  • Create ideas for advancing the CBRE brand positioning through events activity.
  • Ensure the CBRE brand position is consistent throughout all Events and corporate hospitality activity.

Digital:

  • Explore ways to leverage CBRE's software and tools to enhance our event experiences for clients and deliver impactful results.

Implementation:

  • Ensure that the implementation of all activity is co-ordinated efficiently and to a consistently high standard, reflective of CBRE's market leading position.

  • Owning our Corporate Hospitality offerings including continued relationship with the RFU and any ad-hoc requests from the business including Chelsea Flower Show, Ascot and Wimbledon.
  • Advertising our offerings once a month in our Corporate Hospitality Newsletter.
  • Young Professionals Series: Organize four events annually by managing the team and process for recruiting Co-Chairs in London and Regions, securing budget, and providing guidance as needed.
  • Long Income Breakfast x two per year.
  • Surveyors Sevens.
  • Retail Reception.
  • Aldersgate CEO Breakfast.
  • Flex Forum.
  • Real Estate Finance Young Professionals Forum.
  • Hotels Future Leaders Event.
  • Supporting with elements on large scale and European flagship events including accommodation logistics and registration support.
  • Owning Zoom Webinars and supporting if needed with slide sharing and general logistics.
  • Ad-hoc Flex & BAU events where required.
  • Registration assistance as needed for the team.

What you will need:

  • High profile event experience - corporate environment.
  • Established history of effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven track record of managing commercial partnerships and corporate boxes.
  • Hybrid and Zoom experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Bizzabo, AirTable and COUPA is ideal.
  • Industry knowledge preferred.
