Our BT Workplace team provide a full range of building maintenance services to their 7,000 buildings in the UK, from commercial offices and telephone exchanges to call centres and retail shops.

The role involves acting as the heart of the office, anticipating customer needs and providing a 'hassle-free' workplace experience designed to enhance our customers' well-being. Hosts deliver people-focused, anticipatory services to provide a cohesive and connected workplace experience for building occupants and visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a best in class Front of House service to welcome clients, visitors, colleagues and business partners at all times.
  • Planning and prioritising own work allocation according to the needs of the site as determined by your Line Manager.
  • Carrying out daily building walks to ensure all floors are tidy, compliant and reset back to 'day one'.
  • Acting as the 'go to' for your floor neighbourhoods and promoting BT's culture and values.
  • Providing proactive, innovative solutions and resolution of BT colleague issues.
  • Supporting the wider FM team, ensuring compliance with current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Ensuring all building communications are up to date and relevant information is displayed.
  • Engaging with other service partners to ensure prompt and effective request solutions.
  • Providing Front of House / Reception services and supporting all meetings and events as required.
  • Monitoring and reporting on building occupancy and utilisation.
  • Building relationships with clients and colleagues to ensure they have everything they need for their working day.
  • Delivering site inductions to new client colleagues and building users.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to seek out opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adjust tasks according to changing deadlines.
  • Organised, independent, self-motivated, and flexible in scheduling and prioritisation.
  • Understanding the importance of using discretion at all times.
