Join Us as a Facilities Management Operative. We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Facilities Management Operative to help keep one of our key client sites running smoothly. In this role, you will be the face of the Facilities team on site, supporting employees and contractors, maintaining high standards, and ensuring the environment is safe, clean, and well-managed. If you are hands-on, solutions-focused, and enjoy ensuring everything is in great working order, this could be the perfect next step for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Customer Service & Site Coordination
- Acting as the first point of contact for staff queries and minor issues.
- Liaising with contractors, organising site inductions, and supporting visitors.
- Working closely with the wider FM and CBRE team to ensure all reactive tasks are completed efficiently.
- Escalating building or service concerns to the client team or Regional Manager.
- Completing daily/weekly site inspections and raising any issues promptly.
- Maintaining high cleanliness standards across kitchens, toilets, yard areas, and the site's CFS building.
- Handling minor repair tasks such as tightening fixtures, adjusting monitor arms, and maintaining furniture.
- Conducting minor electrical checks and tasks (e.g., replacing fuses, bulbs, or checking power supplies).
- Handling basic plumbing tasks including isolating water supplies, unblocking toilets, and tightening waste fittings.
- Adjusting HVAC settings when necessary.
- Assisting with fire alarm tests and escorting subcontractors for PPM activities.
- Managing internal and external post.
- Ensuring all tasks are logged on the CAFM system.
- Supporting any reasonable task within your competency during working hours.
