We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join our maintenance team in London. As a Junior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our experienced engineers in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client's sites.
About the Role:
- Assisting experienced engineers with routine maintenance tasks, including fault finding and repair of equipment
- Gaining experience in electrical and mechanical systems, including 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
- Developing skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Learning to use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment
- Assisting with risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks
- Working on mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system
- Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
- Supporting the maintenance team with ad-hoc duties as needed
Requirements:
- Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering (or currently studying towards one)
- Basic electrical and mechanical competences/qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition)
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from experienced engineers
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required
