We are recruiting a Fire door engineer The Foot Mobile Fire Door Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of fire doors within a diverse portfolio of properties across London. This role involves carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM), remedial works, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. The technician will work independently and as part of a team, providing expert technical advice and maintaining high levels of customer service. Role Summary: Conduct thorough inspections and surveys of fire doors to assess their condition, identify defects, and ensure compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards. Accurately record findings, including types of doors, conditions, and any damage or defects, often using specialized software. Provide detailed reports and recommendations for necessary repairs or replacements. Carry out reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire doors. Perform repairs and upgrades to fire doors in line with test evidence and manufacturer guidelines to ensure compliance. Address issues with critical components such as door closers, hinges, and other hardware. Ensure all work is carried out to recognised industry standards and fire safety legislation. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. Be knowledgeable about fire door regulations and testing requirements Liaise directly with clients, providing excellent customer service and technical advice.
