The role: Facilities Technician
The purpose of our Facilities Technician is to support the Technical Supervisor in providing reactive and pre-planned maintenance services. This includes building fabric, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, engineering services, and waste management, in accordance with safety procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of the physical workplace experience across multiple customers in a single location.
- Maintaining high standards of HSE, security, controlling costs, and improving customer satisfaction.
- Building effective relationships within the customer organisation.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety policies, statutory requirements, and engineering standards.
- Providing planned and reactive maintenance, updating customers on task statuses.
- Carrying out building fabric repairs and grounds maintenance, including litter picking, grass cutting, pruning, weed removal, and drain clearing.
- Supporting building uplift and refit projects with specialist colleagues.
- Reporting risks or defects and maintaining site activity logs.
- Managing consumables, tools, and equipment.
Person specifications include:
- Knowledge of HSE requirements and safety practices.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Experience in a similar role or willingness to learn new skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of health & safety and environmental standards related to maintenance tasks.
