We are now recruiting an experienced Mobile HVAC Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our growing onsite engineering team.
The Role
As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of building services, plant and equipment, ensuring a safe, comfortable and efficient working environment for our client.
You will play a key role in maintaining HVAC systems (with a strong focus on VRV/VRF systems), supporting energy efficiency initiatives, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant, equipment and building services
- Fault find and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF air conditioning
- Manage environmental conditions using BMS systems
- Identify risks to plant and equipment, including critical spares management
- Complete and improve preventative maintenance programmes
- Act as Energy Champion and support site Health & Safety initiatives
- Prepare and follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permits to Work
- Use CAFM systems and mobile devices to manage maintenance tasks
- Oversee and supervise sub-contractors
- Liaise with the onsite Supervisor and Account Manager on building services issues
- Deputise for the Site Supervisor when required
- Participate in an on-call rota, including nights and weekends as required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Recognised or time-served apprenticeship
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance
- Strong mechanical competence (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- F-Gas certification and experience handling refrigerants
- Multi-skilled maintenance capability
- Confident fault-finding skills
- Experience completing RAMS and safe systems of work
- Ability to supervise contractors effectively
Desirable:
- Working at Height certification
- IPAF and/or PASMA
- AP (Authorised Person) qualifications
- BMS system experience
- HVAC controls knowledge
