About the Role
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting a Painting & Decorating Technician to join our on-site team in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality reactive and planned maintenance services, ensuring an excellent experience for our customers through attention to detail, professionalism, and strong customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out painting and decorating tasks across the customer site
- Complete pre-tenancy maintenance checks
- Undertake reactive repair works as required
- Inspect and repair floors, walls, doors, and windows
- Inspect, repair, and maintain free-standing and fitted furniture
- Support engineering colleagues with general maintenance duties when required
- Maintain accurate records including maintenance logs, reports, and H&S documentation
- Manage consumable stock, tools, and equipment effectively
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Contract Manager or Facilities Supervisor
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator
- Skilled in a range of painting techniques and methods (qualified or time-served)
- Experience carrying out general fabric maintenance tasks
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
