Responsibilities
- To act as the principal client facing technical expert across all service lines
- Provide the onsite teams with general engineering support as required and in emergencies
- Provide Business Development team technical support to provide solutions to meet varying customer requirements
- Liaise with wider business solutions to promote innovations in both new technology and service solutions
- Act as Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer for the division
- Provide occasional OOH support for account teams (planned and emergency)
- Produce standardised documentation and processes that can be utilised and tailored by the site teams (i.e., Forward Maintenance Register, Risk Registers)
- Support business development managers with new opportunities
- Provide investigation and root cause analysis across the division as required, producing reports and learning from experience documents to be shared internally/externally
- Liaise and work in partnership with the QHSE team
- Promote customer experience and wellbeing through good operation of building service systems
- Provide technical support to the division project team
- Support account teams in producing business focused maintenance strategies and reliability
- To be the SME for technical excellence within the Corporate Services division and drive the standardisation of best practices across all contracts
- Act as a Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer for relevant technical disciplines (Electrical/Pressure/Confined Spaces)
- Support site teams with technical operations across all building service engineering disciplines
- Champion technical solutions & innovations
- Mentor and grow the engineering standard of engineers across the division, ensuring best practice and knowledge is shared
- Promote safe methods of working ensuring CBRE GWS Technical Safety Rules and Procedures are implemented correctly
- Preferably professionally registered (IEng or CEng) or working towards this
- Preferably HNC or Degree in Building Service Engineering or relevant engineering subject
- Previous Experience as Senior Authorised Person or Authorising Engineer in Electrical, Mechanical and Confined Spaces and implementing safe system of works
- Experienced in a wide range of building service engineering systems
- Customer facing across a varied customer base
- Proven track record of technical problem solving
- Ability to communicate technical subject to non-technical customers and team members
- Ability to produce technical reports
- Flexibility to provide support at short notice
