The purpose of the role is: CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile Engineer to join the team in/around the Epsom area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions are always maintained regarding critical building systems and for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all fabric repairs, painting & decorating alongside fire alarm testing and water PPMs.
Responsibilities include:
- Travel to sites across the advertised locations.
- Full UK driving license required.
- Ensure that routine PPM (to SFG 20) is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
- Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
- Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain serviceable order.
- Ensure suitable spares are available for maintenance and reactive works.
- Provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
- Complete all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator without delay.
- Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
- Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure a Safe and Healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE at all times.
- Maintain the professional image of CBRE Managed Services.
- Keep up to date shift logs.
- Ensure all plant rooms under the responsibility of CBRE Managed Services are locked and kept clean and tidy.
- Supervise and monitor subcontractors' works while on site.
- Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
- Undertake lone working when required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
- Action and complete assigned tasks appropriately with H&S awareness.
- Comply with contractual KPI’s/SLA’s.
- Keep the Computer Based Maintenance system, SI LOCAL, up to date and close out PPM and reactive tickets with accurate data.
- Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements.
- Provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.
- Any other task as directed by the account management team.
A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills. A CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field is preferred.

Knowledge required:
- Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures, and working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
- Electrical/mechanical maintenance knowledge.
- BMS knowledge.
- Mechanical and commissioning experience.
- Recognised Health and Safety Qualification, such as IOSH.
- Demonstrated relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDUs, Crac units or equivalent, including the ability to fault find using graphical information and current alarm data.
- Understanding of the demarcation between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production environments.
Experience required:
- Mechanical maintenance skills.
- Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria.
- Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures.
- Working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
Circumstances:
- Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
- Must have a full UK driving license.
