Role Overview CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a talented FM Engineering Manager to join our team and oversee operations at prestigious, high-end commercial sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for facilities management, engineering excellence, and client satisfaction. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering world-class services, optimising building performance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering teams across multiple high-end commercial properties, fostering a culture of professionalism, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance works are carried out efficiently, safely, and to industry-leading standards.
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices in facilities management, sustainability, and asset optimisation.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and exceed expectations in service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on site performance, compliance, and risk management, conducting regular audits and inspections.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and contracts, securing value for money while maintaining high quality and reliability.
  • Champion health and safety, ensuring all activities are compliant with statutory and CBRE GWS requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, and innovation across all engineering operations.
  • Support mobilisation of new contracts and integration of advanced technologies to enhance site performance.
  • Provide mentoring and professional development for engineering staff, nurturing talent and supporting career progression.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in facilities management and engineering leadership within high-end commercial environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, M&E services, and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and teams, prioritising workloads and delivering results under pressure.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services) and professional memberships preferred.
  • Demonstrable track record of driving operational improvements and delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Commitment to health and safety, sustainability, and continuous professional development.
  • Innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented approach, with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
