We are seeking a skilled Electrical Bias Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background and experience in critical environments such as data centres or trading floors. You will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety across our client sites.
Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdown maintenance requests within SLA timelines.
- Maintain and repair modular UPS systems and diagnose power quality issues.
- Conduct risk-focused maintenance and monitor critical systems.
- Provide emergency response and escalate urgent issues.
- Complete reactive Helpdesk requests and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Undertake site surveys, produce method statements and risk assessments.
- Install and upgrade plant equipment and interpret technical drawings.
- Monitor environmental conditions and equipment loading.
- Ensure compliance with financial and health & safety processes.
- Prepare incident reports and root cause analyses for system outages.
Qualifications and Desirable Skills
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience with BMS, HVAC systems, chilled water circuits, and chilled beams.
- Understanding of CDM processes and H&S procedures (COSHH, Risk Assessments, etc.).
- Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Testing and inspection of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with emergency response protocols.
- Authorised Person certification (e.g., AP15/12).
- Water hygiene knowledge (L8).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
