Water Treatment Technician | Field-Based | Commercial & Industrial Sites

Operations Manager / Technical Manager - London
Field-based across client sites, including industrial, commercial, healthcare, education and FM-managed environments.
About the Role
This role would suit someone who enjoys a mobile, practical position, is confident working on occupied sites, and takes pride in delivering compliant, high-quality water treatment and water hygiene services.
What You'll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust treatment programmes, including chemical dosing and control measures.
- Complete inspections, system surveys and routine compliance tasks in line with Legionella guidance and HSG274.
- Diagnose issues such as corrosion, scale, poor system performance or microbiological risk, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain dosing equipment, pumps, testing kits and associated water treatment plant.
- Produce clear service reports, logbooks and compliance records following site visits.
- Work safely at all times and follow risk assessments, method statements and site procedures.
- Build positive relationships with clients and support a professional, reliable service on every site.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, including sampling, dosing and monitoring.
- Understanding of UK compliance requirements and guidance, including ACOP L8 and HSG274.
- Ability to produce accurate service reports and maintain clear compliance records.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and site teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
- Experience with cooling towers, closed system analysis, boilers, domestic systems or remedial works.
- Knowledge of dosing equipment, inhibitor and biocide control, and on-site testing methods.
- Experience working across healthcare, education, FM or large commercial estates.
