About the Role
As a CBRE Technical Sr, you will assist the management of the team responsible for all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, and workforce development programs for a facility, office, or portfolio of buildings. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems along with support on hospitality events. Please note: This role is 3 days at the Redhill site and 2 days at the London site.
What You’ll Do
- Comply with all regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Invoicing.
- Review work orders and resolve issues.
- Consult with client to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
- Oversee the out of hours works performed by the engineers.
- Determine that work is complete, equipment is fully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and answer out of hours emergency calls.
- Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
- Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work.
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
- Complete daily office walks arounds to ensure building is a good working order.
- Support and cover evening events and lunches.
- Cover when the account lead is on holiday.
What You’ll Need
- Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analysing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Corporate hospitality or Hotel background good to have.
