CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team based in Reading.

The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.

Role Summary:
  • Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving machinery performance, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment, liaising with the client on machinery PPM requests.
  • Fault find on all types of Machinery.
  • Support department colleagues regarding Health and Safety.
  • Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise, working on Heavy Industrial Machines and Overhead Cranes.
  • Write and follow Risk Assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
  • Complete documentation as per rules and legislation.
  • Work on Three Phase Systems up to 440V.
  • Work on Motors, Gearboxes, Valves, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical Systems.
  • Use Mobile Devices to project and complete works via CAFM System.
  • Plan daily tasks using email/calendars for efficiency.
  • Liaise with onsite Site Services for Building Services issues.
  • Act as the responsible person for the department when required, deputising for the Shift Leader during leave or sickness.
  • Perform overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
  • Perform adhoc duties as needed.
Experience Required:
  • Recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Electrical Qualifications: City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition or equivalent.
  • Mechanical Qualifications: acceptable standard to City and Guilds Mechanical.
  • Multiskilled ability.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, drives, inverters.
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience.
  • Fault finding skills.
  • PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Supervise contractors.
  • Ability to write Risk and Method Statements, understand permits.
Desirable:
  • Working at Height Qualification.
  • IPAF Certification.
  • AP Qualifications.
  • Experience in Heavy Engineering.
