Join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team in London. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client's sites.
About the Role:
- Identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving maintenance programs.
- Using new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment and liaising with clients on maintenance requests.
- Fault finding on a range of machinery, including heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department.
- Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks.
- Working on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V and completing tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment.
- Using mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system.
- Liaising with onsite services to manage building services-related issues.
- Deputizing for the Shift Leader during annual leave or sickness.
- Working overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Performing ad-hoc duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical competences/qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition.
- Mechanical competences/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical.
- Good multi-skilled ability.
- Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience.
- Ability to fault find and diagnose PLC systems.
- NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.
- Ability to understand and write permits.
