The EMEA Data Centre Site Selection Consultant will join a market-leading advisory team, responsible for collating market availability and development pipeline data to support data centre transactions across the enterprise, technology and telecommunications sectors.
The role involves close liaison with CBRE's global office network and data centre developers/operators, as well as direct exposure to blue-chip corporate and technology clients on high-profile transactions.
Based in London, the team is the largest specialist data centre advisory team in a single location globally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their data management and transactional experience within the fast-growing digital infrastructure sector, while benefiting from the breadth of CBRE's wider global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and analysing availability data from global and regional data centre developers/operators in collaboration with the Occupier Services team
- Preparing high-quality market summaries and presentations for client projects, and leading discrete workstreams where required
- Responding to team and client enquiries promptly and professionally
- Communicating regularly with CBRE stakeholders and industry sources
- Building trusted relationships with data centre developers/operators to obtain accurate market intelligence, as well as with clients and prospects
- Conducting desktop and in-depth due diligence on data centre organisations and projects, including financial and ownership reviews
- Undertaking on-site inspections across Europe and meetings with key stakeholders as required
Key Requirements
- Have strong data management and collation skills, with the ability to present findings clearly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Have a background in consultancy, real estate or data management (desirable)
- Have a keen interest in the technology, digital infrastructure or data centre sector
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Be commercially astute, ambitious and self-motivated
- Build professional relationships quickly across all levels of seniority
- Prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
