Multi-Skilled Engineer - Coalville
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a market-leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our high-performing maintenance team in Coalville, supporting plant, equipment and building services across a busy commercial contract.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across building services, plant rooms and site infrastructure.
- Maintain and support core FM systems including HVAC, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, lighting, emergency lighting, small power and general electrical systems.
- Complete routine statutory and compliance checks, ensuring all work is delivered safely and in line with site procedures.
- Respond to building-services faults, diagnose issues quickly and complete first-time fixes where possible.
- Support minor plumbing, heating, ventilation, drainage and fabric maintenance tasks as required.
- Work safely on low-voltage electrical systems, carrying out basic fault-finding, isolations and repairs within competence.
- Use CAFM systems and mobile devices to receive, update and close planned and reactive tasks accurately.
- Liaise with the client, site teams and contractors to resolve maintenance issues and maintain a high standard of service delivery.
- Support permit-to-work processes, risk assessments, method statements and contractor supervision where required.
- Act as a responsible and visible member of the engineering team, supporting wider FM operations and deputising for the Shift Leader when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Recognised or time-served apprenticeship.
- Strong manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience.
- Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds 236 Parts 1-2 or equivalent (17th Edition).
- Mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2.
- Ability to fault-find across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters.
- PLC diagnostic or repair capabilities (advantageous).
- Confident supervising contractors and managing safety documentation.
