CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a People Business Partner to join our team in London, supporting a global account within our Financial and Professional Services Sector. As a CBRE People Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with Line Managers and in-country HR teams to implement and communicate HR initiatives, policies, and procedures across a major Facilities Management and Real Estate account comprising approximately 800 employees in 55+ countries. In this role, you will lead and support People programmes that drive engagement and performance within one of CBRE's highest-calibre teams. This job is part of the People Strategy and Operations function. They are responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of human resource programs and policies.
What You’ll Do
- Talent and Workforce Planning: Across an account of 800 people, assist with the development of onboarding programmes, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives. Maintain updated lists of key personnel and roles (Facilities Management and Real Estate) at least annually. Develop and report succession and backup plans for key roles (FM quarterly; RE biannually). Ensure continuity of service delivery during planned and unplanned absences, including transition plans within 30 days of departure notifications.
- Employee Relations and Compliance: Provide managers with guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement counselling. Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and initiate investigations and grievance processes. Apply in-depth knowledge of principles and procedures to resolve complex People-related issues.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage structured recruitment and onboarding processes to eliminate delays, reduce turnover and ensure staff understand role requirements. Maintain onboarding programmes for FM staff and ensure RE staff are fully onboarded to CBRE and the client, living and breathing our values. Report on onboarding and engagement metrics to underpin continuous improvement.
- Training and Development: Conduct training on onboarding, recruitment, management, performance management, diversity and other relevant topics. Coach others, sharing expertise across multiple job disciplines within the function.
- Performance and Reporting: Track KPIs and CPIs related to: Account Team Vacancy Skills & Competency Matrix Staff Onboarding Succession Planning. Ensure People-related KPIs and incentives are agreed and implemented. Overseeing People-related reporting.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead by example, modelling behaviours aligned with CBRE RISE values. Build consensus and influence stakeholders to achieve agreement. Work through complexity with tenacity and finesse. An emphasis on results and impact. Communicate difficult or sensitive information concisely and with integrity. Be Kind.
What You’ll Need:
- A self-starter with drive to deliver.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across international, geographically dispersed teams within a matrix organisation while still making this happen.
- CIPD qualified desirable with solid experience in a similar role.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Amazing organisational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
