Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for completing Planned Preventative Maintenance in line with task schedules and industry best practices ensuring tasks are completed on time with full documentation compliance.
  2. Attend and complete day-to-day reactive calls, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabric tasks, within core skill set and SLA.
  3. Ensure that all relevant log books, service records, and safety documentation are compiled and recorded to ensure that the site is compliant at all times.
  4. Be familiar with all main plant normal operating parameters and proactively monitor conditions.
  5. Ensure that engineering supplies are ordered in a timely manner and are appropriate to the maintenance/reactive tasks being carried out to aid SLA targets for works completion.
  6. Actively identify innovation to enhance performance and continue to meet client expectations.
  7. Proactively communicate, both verbally and electronically, in order to receive instruction and provide feedback where necessary. This includes daily checking of individual email accounts.
  8. Take ownership of all plant rooms, risers, and other areas under the responsibility of the company, ensuring they are locked at all times (where appropriate) and kept in a clean and tidy condition, with waste disposed of in accordance with site rules.
  9. Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements.
  10. Proactively report hazards, as and when they arise.
  11. Maintain professional and technical skills through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.
  12. Adhere to local uniform requirements and comply with all PPE requirements, as outlined in the site-specific risk assessments.
  13. Maintain the professional image of CBRE and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times, promoting and maintaining the core values of CBRE.
  14. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all CBRE employees and client representatives.
  15. Other duties in line with requests from the Supervisor or management team as appropriate.

Contract Specific Responsibilities

  1. Participate in an OOH’s call-out rota ensuring emergency cover is in place and respond as required.
  2. Assist in maintaining compliance on all log books, including H&S.
  3. Supervise and monitor subcontractors’ works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance, ensuring company processes and procedures are followed where this applies.
  4. Work OOH (by agreement) to assist in the supervision of specialist maintenance and ad-hoc activities – for which you will be paid at the overtime rate.
  5. Provide holiday and sickness cover for site-based engineer as required.

  1. Required – City and Guilds or equivalent Electrical or Mechanical qualification
  2. Desirable – Legionella L8 Certificate and/or Cooling Towers
  3. Desirable – City and Guilds test and inspect
  4. Desirable – PAT
