CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Test & Inspection Electrician. As a CBRE Test & Inspection Electrician, you will inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes motors, controls, switches, gauges, valves, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers. Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Electrical Test & Inspection (C&G 2391)
- Perform electrical test and inspection duties in accordance with City & Guilds 2391 standards.
- Conduct periodic inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations.
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671 and regulatory requirements.
- Produce accurate test reports and identify remedial actions where required.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyse possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
