CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Facilities site maintenance engineer. You will be the site maintenance operative responsible for daily, weekly and monthly compliance duties along with general, mechanical and electrical Planned preventive maintenance and reactive tasks as directed by the clients on site FM team.

What You'll Do:

  • A versatile engineer with a can-do attitude and a strong emphasis on quality of service.
  • Carry out admin tasks to ensure all maintenance records and log books are up to date.
  • Ensure compliance items included in the contract are carried out on time and that all paperwork and records are in date and accessible for inspection at all times.
  • Carry out planned maintenance of general mechanical and electrical services as part of the annual plant maintenance plan.
  • Liaise with the Ball team on any project works and be the go-to technical person on site, and the conduit for calling in other trades and specialisms as may be required.
  • Be on-site to respond to breakdowns & report to the client to come up with a solution if this requires technical assistance contact Guardian's call desk to arrange for a mobile engineer or the relevant specialist subcontractor to attend once authorised by Ball's representative.
  • Carry out all the daily, weekly & monthly testing on-site as per the site log book.
  • Book in subcontractors to attend site for PPMs, & make sure they have a work permit, and are working safely on site.
  • Follow up the further works repairs on site to ensure they are booked in within a timely manner.
  • Carry out handy man duties on site. Be the first port of call for the customer.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workplace, always leaving site clean & tidy.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm (1/2 hour lunch break) (37.5 hours per week)

Daily Tasks:

  • Plant Room checks to ensure there are no faults.
  • Toilet area checks to ensure no leaks or blockages.
  • Lighting lamp replacements.
  • General maintenance duties as directed by Ball's representative.
  • Administering site records (compliance, H&S of contractors and general maintenance paperwork).

Weekly Tasks:

  • Fire alarm bell test.
  • Generator fuel checks.
  • Flush little used outlets.

Monthly Tasks:

  • Utility meter readings.
  • Water temperature checks and flushing.
  • Emergency Lighting testing.
  • Monthly meeting attendance with Ball and the Guardian Contract manager.

Planned maintenance plan:

  • Carry out quarterly, 6 monthly and annual mechanical maintenance tasks (excluding Gas and AC items).
  • Carry out quarterly, 6 monthly and annual electrical maintenance tasks (excluding annual emergency light discharge and mains board inspections).
