Purpose of the job
Undertake planned, reactive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks across the ExxonMobil Fawley refinery site.
Responsibilities and daily activities:
Undertake maintenance, refurbishment & installation works of all aspects of electrical services, including emergency lighting, electrical LV switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub- mains cabling, containment, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
Have a good knowledge of 3 phase motor control and instrumentation systems.
To have knowledge of inspection and testing procedures and certify works upon completion in accordance with relevant certification.
To undertake reactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames ensuring client expectations are met.
Provide detailed reports upon completion of works including breakdown processes, hours and materials of works to allow for accurate valuation of works.
To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
To have knowledge of multi-disciplined trades in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanical ventilation, HVAC, chillers, plumbing/CWST systems and LTHW heating services (desired)
To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
To be always fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs.
To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately.
Always Working in a safe manner, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Company H&S policy.
Follow on call Rota β Monday to Sunday which comes with an additional payment per week on call.
Personal Experience and Qualifications needed
Approved Electrician NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / 18th Edition (required)
Recognised Apprenticeship
Previous experience working within building maintenance and minor works environment (required)
Previous experience working with HVAC equipment and controls (desired)
Previous experience with working with LV motor controls and associated control panels (desired)
Full clean driving licence
Full disclosure is a contractual requirement.
Must be able to work within a team and be self-motivated.
Flexible in approach to work scheduling
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Use of computer systems/iPads to maintain electronic work schedules.
