We are recruiting a Critical Services Shift Technician to join the team in London. About the Role: As a CBRE Critical Services Technician, you will resolve and complete day-to-day work orders to meet customer satisfaction targets and ensure completion in the time frame required. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments. Role Responsibilities: Qualify and act as an appointed Authorized Person (AP) within 6 months from onboarding. Maintain an up-to-date log of work completed and outstanding items through the in-house system. Ensure that all contractors and staff comply with all company, client safety, and security requirements. Participate in the critical services training program. Ensure effective communication with the client and management team is maintained. Operate as a team with other technicians by sharing expertise and experience to help resolve operational problems. Provide holiday, training & sickness cover for other members of the shift team. Track and complete Critical Services Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide condition assessments of plant and equipment. Log and action all out-of-line situations with incident reports. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. Role Requirements: Skills: Essential- Good technical & faultfinding skills Educated to a minimum of City & Guilds in Electrical (or HNC) Excellent administrative skills Computer literate Highly conversant in Microsoft Office suite Strong interpersonal and communication skills Procedure writing Desirable- Apprenticeship (or equivalent programme in Electrical / Mechanical Installation). Report writing Knowledge: Essential- Excellent knowledge of the operation of Mechanical & Electrical Services Ability to interrogate and operate BMS systems Knowledge of business-critical services i.e., UPS, Generators and Comms Rooms etc Desirable- 18th Edition IEE regs HV Trained Aptitude: Essential- Must be able to work under own initiative. High level of personal integrity Takes ownership of issues and ensures completion. Able to organize and manage own workload. Good communication skills both verbal and written to all seniority levels. Understanding of customer needs and standards. Presentable and smart always Self motivated with drive to exceptional service Incumbents must have a high level of energy, confident and stable in manner. Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments. Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service. Able to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused. Able to make sound decisions based on fact and experience.
