Summary
Cboe Europe is actively seeking a dedicated and highly motivated team-oriented person to fill the role of Senior QA Manager supporting our European exchange platforms and their trading system functionality. As a manager of software quality engineers for this testing team, you’ll work with the development and business teams to prioritize, schedule, and staff projects to execute on our vision. You’ll be a hands-on technical leader and contribute to tools and automated tests. You’ll help manage our CI/CD deployment pipeline and infrastructure as well as our status reporting and dashboards. This role is a critical component of our engineering and testing process providing enhancement of Cboe’s superior technology and ensuring industry leading performance.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software quality engineers who are responsible for the testing and deployment of the Cboe Europe high performance trading system, which operates on a shared code base with Cboe’s US equities and options markets.
- Translate testing requirements into automated regression tests for our Exchange platforms.
- Review code, guide newer team members.
- Contribute to new tool designs and testing techniques.
- Apply modern AI techniques to QA activities within Software Development Life Cycle.
- Become familiar with our supported asset classes such as equities, options, futures, and indices.
- Learn trading concepts and apply this knowledge to develop a wide variety of test scenarios.
Requirements
Management Experience
- Recent management experience overseeing quality assurance teams.
- Demonstrable ability to hire top talent and grow quality assurance engineers.
- Three years of experience planning, organizing, and leading test efforts or testing teams.
AI and Automation
- Demonstrable experience with implementing an AI-centric SDLC in the QA space.
- Practical experience with tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks – LangChain, AutoGen, or equivalents.
- A builder’s instinct: you see where AI can remove friction and you act on it.
Core Engineering Skills
- More than five years of individual contributor QA experience, with recent and demonstrable experience coding and enhancing test frameworks and creating automated test cases.
- Python development or scripting experience or a working knowledge of another scripting or programming language and a willingness to learn Python.
- Strong experience in object-oriented design and programming techniques.
- Understanding of database platforms such as PostreSQL (preferred). A working knowledge of SQL is necessary.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git (preferred), Subversion, or other version control tools.
- Experience working in a continuous integration environment and with tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Experience with the Atlassian toolset is a plus.
