Cboe Clear Europe N.V. is a multi‑asset class central counterparty clearing Cash Equities and Securities Financing Transactions (SFT). It provides protection to both parties in a trade, ensuring the trade will settle at the agreed price even if one party defaults on its obligations. The Commercial & Business Development Team is hiring for a Sales Director, Securities Financing Transactions. Being experienced in post trade whilst having knowledge of execution and market infrastructure within the SFT industry, you will be responsible for developing the SFT franchise, utilizing front office and post‑trade relationships and partnering with SFT clients and potential partners, advocating new initiatives, services and growing the business. This role reports to the Head of Commercial & Business Development on the execution of the sales strategy, whilst supporting the Head of Product in the long‑term SFT Product Strategy and Roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Growing the business for the SFT franchise
  • Representing the company at conferences and being able to comfortably participate in panels, promoting the business and promoting market advocacy
  • Responsible for market engagement, ensuring Cboe Clear is close to key market and regulatory developments and analyzing the change, impact and/or opportunity to develop partnerships and new strategies
  • Support to colleagues in the Commercial & Business Development team on cross‑product sales and expertise in SFT, while working closely with the wider Product Management and SFT Operations in the overall maintenance and roll‑out of the SFT product

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years financial services industry experience particularly within the SFT industry.
  • Knowledge of front office and post‑trade functionality in securities finance transactions by having worked for a related securities lending infrastructure service provider, agent lender or borrower, in a sales, relationship or client management role.
  • Experience in a Market Infrastructure or Investment Bank, with knowledge of front office and post‑trade functionality, in cash equities (essential) and equity derivatives and ETFs (desirable).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities are required, along with the capacity to create client presentations and develop comprehensive business cases.
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking and cultivating professional relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel London or Amsterdam based
