The Oil Analysis Technician at CBM 360 TIV will be responsible for performing oil and lubricant analysis, sampling, and testing across Europe , The role requires 10 years of experience in oil analysis, machinery condition monitoring, or maintenance within industries such as Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Cement. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of rotating and process equipment through precise oil testing and interpretation of results.

2) Job Responsibilities

A. Oil Sampling & Analysis

Collect oil, lubricant, and hydraulic fluid samples from machinery and equipment following standard procedures.

Perform laboratory and field testing for viscosity, contamination, water content, wear metals, and other oil properties.

Use analytical equipment such as spectrometers, ferrographs, and viscometers for accurate results.

B. Condition Monitoring & Reporting

Analyze oil test results to assess equipment health, wear trends, and potential failures.

Identify abnormal conditions and recommend preventive or corrective actions to avoid equipment downtime.

Maintain accurate records of all oil sampling and test data for trending and analysis.

C. Documentation & Communication

Prepare detailed oil analysis reports, including findings, interpretations, and recommendations.

Communicate critical findings to maintenance, reliability, and project teams.

Support audits, inspections, and client reviews with proper documentation.

D. Compliance & Safety

Ensure all oil sampling and testing activities comply with HSE protocols, NEBOSH standards, and company safety procedures.

Promote safe handling of oils, chemicals, and laboratory equipment.

Participate in risk assessments, safety meetings, and environmental compliance activities.

E. Technical Support & Coordination

Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and project managers to resolve machinery performance issues.

Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and trainees.

Support CBM planning by reviewing maintenance schedules and oil monitoring programs.

F. Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

Stay updated on emerging oil analysis techniques, condition monitoring methods, and industry best practices.

Recommend improvements in oil sampling, testing procedures, and reporting methods.

Support R&D initiatives related to predictive maintenance, lubrication management, and machinery reliability.
