Experienced HGV Driver (Class 1 or 2 to drive beavertail plant lorry) Due to retirement, CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) are looking for an experienced HGV Driver to join the team at their Portbury, Bristol centre on a permanent, full-time basis. Valid HGV licence essential, experience in loading and unloading construction machinery preferred. However, full training will be available for drivers new to this industry.
This is a good opportunity to join a leading, family-owned, construction equipment specialist in Southern Britain. This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 42½ hours per week but you must be flexible with regard to hours due to the nature of the work.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery and collection of plant as well as ensuring the working order of your vehicle and safely securing all loads carried. Duties also include:
- Planning delivery routes
- Loading and unloading plant machinery
- Making sure loads are safely secured
- Following traffic reports and altering your route if necessary
- Completing delivery paperwork
You will receive a very competitive salary depending on experience, pension and excellent company benefits including life assurance and optional health care cover at company rates. Safety/corporate clothing provided as required.
