We are looking for a dedicated Welsh-speaking Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team on a flexible, supply basis, working in primary schools across Acrefair and surrounding areas. Passionate about supporting young learners and fluent in Welsh, this role contributes to the educational development of children in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers with day‑to‑day activities and lesson delivery.
  • Work with small groups of pupils or on a one‑to‑one basis to support learning needs.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with Welsh language teaching and encourage pupils to use Welsh.
  • Provide pastoral support and promote pupil well‑being.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and assist with classroom organisation.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Welsh is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (or similar role) is desirable but not essential.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and caring approach to supporting pupils.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
