CB&I are seeking a Senior Structural Designer Contractor for 9 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.
- Scope of Services
- Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
- Provide technical information to support estimates for project work scopes
- Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process
- Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS
- Provide checking of structural drawings
- Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues
- Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
- Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate
- Structural general arrangement drawings
- Structural destruct drawings
- Installation methodology drawings / documents
- Survey reports
- Weight control reports
- Presentations sketches etc. to assist in scope communications
- Additional Design Deliverables to Check

Skills / Experience
- Computer literate in Microsoft office applications and relevant discipline specific software
- Auto CAD 2D & 3D
- PDMS
- LFM
- Recap Pro
- Simulate)
- Ability to investigate and interpret data
- willing to travel offshore/site and capable of completing site surveys
- Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential
- Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
