This post is based offshore on the Kittiwake Platform on a 3/4/3/5 rota.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates and controls process and utilities facilities in a safe and efficient manner, thereby ensuring that the process plant and systems is optimized to meet environmental and production targets.
• Specialist background with experience in Power Generation & Distribution capable of being certified to SAEP level.

Carry out adjustments to process facilities under the direction of the Shift Team Leader (STL) & ultimately the Operations Supervisor.

• Ensure all Operations equipment for life support and safety systems are maintained and available.
• Operate and Manage Power Generation and Distribution Systems.
• Act as SAEP or AEP Electrical Person as required in line with Maintenance Team.
• Work as part of a team for Power/Utilities systems in line with plans and targets
• Identify and report to the Control Room any plant/equipment malfunction.

Implement adjustments under the direction of the Control Room with the goal of achieving safe and reliable production.

• Work as a key member of the team who are responsible for the safe operation of the plant.
• Implement shutdown, design & implement isolation, depressurizing and cleaning of equipment required for maintenance, purging and de-isolating ensuring all work permits have been cleared before bringing production back online.
• Carry out front line maintenance such as filter changes, pressure/temperature gauges replacement etc.
• Recover plant from any emergency shutdown and minimize loss of production, whilst adhering to operating procedures.
• Carry out lab duties, procedures and basic oil and gas analysis.
• Complete pre-start-up/operating checks, ensuring all interdependent systems are available. Complete post start-up/operating checks to ensure normal operating conditions.
• Carry out site visits and advise on risk assessment controls required for work in your assigned area.

Act as counter signatory within permit system as assigned by STL.

Take responsibility to monitor work parties in your area and ensure housekeeping standards are being maintained before, during and after work.

• Ensure appropriate data is collected, collated and reported in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy in support of production optimization and client quality expectations.
• Take responsibility for, and ownership of 28-Day / 7-day planning & maintenance activities within the discipline and as delegated by the STL.
• Work with discipline Techs to provide effective and efficient plant preparation and re-instatement following maintenance and to ensure only one outage will be required, encompassing all planned activities for the period.
• Ensure all documentation, daily logs and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.
• With the PMC, monitor materials movements on the materials tracker and manifest.
• ICP Focal point as tasked by the STL. Make sure verification testing is organized such that the resource and permitry is available at the agreed time.
• S/D & Projects Focal point for Operations Area as tasked by STL.
• In conjunction with other Operations personnel review any proposed modifications / work packs prior to implementation and feedback as appropriate.
• Actively support and liaise with all residential / non-residential contractors / vendors acting as central point of contact, ensuring work carried out by 3rd party personnel conforms to statutory regulations and company standards.
• Completion of Competence Management System for role in timely manner.
• Understand and comply with the installations safety case, statutory requirements, and safe systems of work.
• Ensure contractors and vendors comply with Petrofac / Kittiwake’s safe systems of work and current legislation.
• Perform in an emergency role as defined by the Company Emergency Response Procedure Manual and Station Bill.
• Ability to lead and work in a team, resolving day-to-day operational issues as they occur.
• Ability to manage system issues and liaise with external support teams to bring resolutions.
• Ability to manage multiple work scopes, prioritizing and allocating resources as required for the best outcome for the asset.
• Ability to review plans for SIMOPS issues and resolve clashes before they manifest at site.
• Ability to carry out complex fault-finding on-site equipment, liaising with vendors both remotely and locally to resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Recognized Apprenticeship or Training Scheme, preferable in Electrical Discipline with subsequent multi-skilling in Operations.
• Demonstrable experience in Electrical Maintenance and Hydrocarbon Operations support activities, worked in a multi-skilled role.
• OND / ONC/ City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in suitable trade.
• All applicable electrical competence certification to enable work on LV and HV systems.
• ISSOW (Proscient Or similar system) training to level 2.
• SBT assembly and re-instatement to stage ¾
• Compex certification.
• Systems literate - experience of computerized management systems e. g., Maximo, Spreadsheets, etc.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information / knowledge with other personnel.
