The post is based on the GP3 FPSO on a 2/3 rota – Staff Fixed term 12 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising the deck crew to efficiently deliver the required marine services on a daily basis.
  • Assures the installation material needs are co-ordinated to ensure efficient stock checks and control.
  • This is carried out in accordance with legislative requirements, company health, safety, environmental, integrity and other relevant standards and Neo Next+ values.
  • Commitment to incident free operations.
  • Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
  • Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
  • Carry out helicopter landing officer duties including refuelling, baggage/freight handling and safe boarding and disembarkation of personnel.
  • Coordinate supply boat operations incorporating all deck cargo handling/storing.
  • Connection and disconnection of Shuttle Tanker mooring and cargo transfer arrangements (FPSO’s only).
  • Responsible for general housekeeping and cleanliness of responsible area.
  • Co-ordinate and assist with all rigging and lifting operations as per company procedure.
  • Carry out and assist where required in marine assurance, planned and corrective maintenance routines.
  • Supervise, coach, and support direct reports in a professional manner.
  • Bring defects in practices and equipment to the attention of relevant staff.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records and ensure that the data is entered into the appropriate information management systems.
  • Execute duties as specified in the station/bill/emergency response procedures or as directed by the OIM.
  • Encourage good, open communication promoting involvement and participation and adherence to company values.
  • Comply with Company procedures and ensure a full and comprehensive handover detailing all relevant information in accordance with these procedures.
  • Commit to Competence Assurance System and undertake any training and assessment required for the role.
  • Carry out emergency towing drills and capable of performing task as required.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating and executing general deck, helicopter, shuttle tanker (FPSO’s only) and supply boat support.
  • Decision making ability is in accordance with delegation of authority.
  • Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of crew, and areas of environment pertaining to their position.
  • Raise MR’s in a timely manner and liaise with onshore Materials department as appropriate.
  • Ensure correct manifests for air transport.
  • Advise on material delivery times and spares status.
  • Ensure spares requirements are linked to relevant work orders in SAP.
  • Check all materials received including COSHH MSDS sheets & inform relevant departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining good and accurate stock control.
  • Coordinate back load requirements & ensure vessel utilisation & adherence to regulations.
  • Maintenance of allocated stock levels and issuance as directed by the Maintenance Supt.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Neo Next+ HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System.
  • Be familiar with, and follow, the Neo Next+ Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times.
  • Comply with all relevant CB&I HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate.
  • Actively participate and support all Neo Next+ and CB&I Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements.
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following: Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
  • Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified.
  • Report all accidents and incidents.
  • Carry out Emergency Response duties as required by site, ERTL/ERTM/HLO/HDA.
  • Carry out competency assessments as required by company.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • OPITO approved Banksman Slinger Level 3 and Rigging and Lifting Level 3 required.
  • OPITO recognised HLO/HDA certification.
  • Recognised relevant S/NVQ Deck Operations Level 2 qualification.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of crane and deck operations, associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislation.
  • Experience of scheduling, organising, coordinating, and controlling/monitoring work.
  • Experience in the administration, control, and use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including permit to work procedures.
  • Experience of offshore operations, tanker offloads and crane operations/merchant navy background.
  • Supervisory experience, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to manage risk in an effective manner.
  • Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.
  • Dangerous Goods by Air and Sea certification required.
  • Previous experience in Maximo preferred.
  • Materials management experience.
  • Experience of maintenance scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring work.
