Job Purpose
To maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst in compliance with the Company Health and Safety policy.
Although not an exhaustive list, this is likely to include wood-working machinery, PLC, HVAC systems, compactors, lighting and other static and portable electrical equipment, systems and circuitry.
Principal Accountabilities
- Represent the company professionally at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all paperwork is accurately filled out according to procedures.
- Prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet response times.
- Identify non-repairable faults and advise the Facilities Manager with recommendations for replacements.
- Inform the Facilities Manager of any issues affecting store operations.
- Manage subcontractor attendance as required.
- Conduct surveys and prepare reports for the Facilities Manager.
- Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence and current specifications.
- Maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs.
- Attend training to keep skills up-to-date with technical developments.
- Follow the company\’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Follow reasonable instructions from the Line Manager.
- Ensure company vehicle (if provided) is clean, maintained, and serviced as needed.
