to c.£190,000 per annum plus good bonus and benefits

Our client is a large non-bank provider of asset finance solutions to UK industry and commerce. Transactions are generated through vendor / partner relationships and through professional intermediaries and introducers.

With a track record of impressive growth and diversification over recent years, it is keen to appoint a Chief Risk Officer to lead the credit and risk agenda and strategy for the business.

Brief responsibilities include:

• Leading the credit risk framework for the business ensuring that growth objectives are achieved without compromising credit quality or governance objectives and responsibilities.
• Credit risk underwriting leadership from flow deals through to complex multi-million pound transactions.
• Collections, recoveries and portfolio monitoring and management responsibilities.
• Driving the agenda to extend and improve the credit risk automation / decisioning capability to achieve operational efficiencies whilst new business volumes increase.
• Credit committee responsibilities.
• Risk reporting responsibilities including operational and enterprise risk.
• Recruitment, motivation and leadership of the risk team.
• Working closely with the CEO and external suppliers and investors.

The candidate:

• Proven risk leadership experience in banking, asset finance, invoice finance / ABL, business lending.
• Strong credit risk leadership experience and able to be hands-on.
• Credit risk automation and decisioning.
• Strong leadership experience.
• Able to work at pace in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial business.
