CBC Health Federation Ltd is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community. We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Technician who will deliver a high quality clinical service to a wide range of stakeholders, working as part of a multidisciplinary, patient facing team. The postholder will be flexible to service changes, lead by example and work both autonomously and collaboratively. They will act as an advocate for the service, identifying opportunities for growth and development and working closely with the Operational Lead team to support and drive service improvement.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility in how and where work is delivered, with a balanced combination of office based, practice based, and remote working in line with service needs.

Salary for this role: £32,073.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services and appropriate underpinning knowledge (e.g. BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent)
  • Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years post qualification experience
  • Good pharmaceutical knowledge of commonly used medicines, side effects, and appropriate information sources
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of prescribing changes
  • Knowledge and experience of repeat prescribing processes
  • IT literate, with competence in Microsoft Office applications and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of healthcare professionals
  • Ability to collate and analyse prescribing data
  • Ability to support pharmacists in producing summary reports relating to progress against action plans and/or audit
  • Self motivated and well organised
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing demands
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently across a range of settings
  • High degree of concentration, with the ability to manage frequent interruptions
  • Professional, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to meet the travel requirements of the role
  • Knowledge and experience of working in primary care / general practice, including the use of GP clinical systems
  • Understanding of primary care working and NHS organisational structures
  • Experience of supporting and contributing to clinical audit activity
  • Experience of training and/or teaching healthcare staff
  • Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection process in relation to general practice, medicines, and care homes
  • Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway or equivalent post graduate learning and development
