CBC Health Federation is seeking proactive and dedicated Specialist Clinical Pharmacists to join our dynamic Pharmicus team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing the quality of general practice and improving patient outcomes across the Northeast. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting GPs and other healthcare professionals, optimising medication use and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.

Experience

  • Specialist knowledge acquired through clinical diploma or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of therapeutics, especially medicines used in primary care
  • Awareness of the common acute and long-term conditions that are likely to be seen in general practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT Literate
  • Evidence of an ability to build successful working relationships with a range of professionals and administrative staff
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make judgements
  • Time management
  • Professional and discreet
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing demands
  • Experience of training and supporting less experienced staff
  • High degree of concentration with potential for frequent interruption
  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role
  • Experience of working in primary care
  • Experience of GP clinical systems
  • CPPE Pathway Independent Prescriber or working towards this qualification
  • Supervisory or line management experience
  • Experience of delivering clinical services e.g. medication reviews, dealing with prescription requests, clinics
  • Understanding of primary care working and NHS organisational structures
  • Experience of clinical audit

Qualifications

  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a qualified Pharmacist
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
