This is a part-time on-site role based in Gateshead for a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations, manage budgets, prepare financial statements, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Responsibilities also include analysing financial data, providing strategic financial advice, preparing forecasts, and monitoring spending to optimise resources. Additionally, the Finance Manager will lead financial planning and collaborate with internal teams to support the organisation’s objectives.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA/CIMA/ACA) are highly desirable.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, financial statement analysis, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting practices, with experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools to monitor, track, and analyse finances effectively.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate financial risks and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively.
- Prior experience in healthcare financial management or within the public sector is an advantage.
- Experience managing teams.
- Experience presenting at board level, engaging with a range of stakeholders including directors.
- Solid pensions knowledge, ideally with NHS pension.
- NHS experience is desirable.
This role is part-time, 30 hours per week, and will line manage our Finance Assistant. The salary for this role will be £46,580 per year pro rata.
