The Company: An extremely well-respected, client-centric wealth management firm based in Sheffield looking to add a Senior Paraplanner, and ultimately 'lead' Paraplanner to the technical team. Ideally, this will be an experienced head who is Diploma qualified and has motivations to take control of all technical output for the firm; leading the current technical support team as the business continues to grow.
Office Location: Sheffield
Working Setup: Office-based initially with hybrid working flex to follow
Package: £42-47k base DOE + annual bonus & full company benefits

The Role: A focused research/report writing role supporting multiple high performing financial advisers provided the chance to develop into team-lead and more operationally focused workloads. Duties include:
- Technical assistance - Be the 'go to' person for technical queries in the team
- Training and nurturing of less technically competent team members, through suitability report checking etc
- Update/monitor financial planning tools ie. research & analysis software/calculators to ensure fit for purpose
- Ongoing monitoring/updating suitability report templates
- Liaising with external compliance teams to collate and deliver feedback to the team
- Responsibility for the development and implementation of our advice strategies - Cashflow, at retirement, CIRP, tax efficient investing & investment strategy etc
- Responsible for delivery of advice and advice compliance
- Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of client objectives
- Perform due diligence, research and analysis
- Undertake calculations (Pension contributions/CGT/IHT/Income Tax)
- Production of client presentation documents and suitability reports
- Oversight of provider illustrations / applications / fund information etc.
- Monitoring new business pipeline through to completion
- Client fee monitoring and client liaison on completion
- Pre meeting analysis
- Post meeting completion work
- Production of post review letters
The Person: You must come from an IFA/wealth management background and have exposure to supporting IFA's/financial planners across the breadth of private wealth focused financial advice. Are you a Diploma qualified Paraplanner (minimum) with complex-case experience? And are you motivated by progression routes into management and operational work rather than advice? If so, this role is definitely worth exploring further.
