We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Data Analyst to be the next person to join Cazoo! Right now, we are on a deliberate journey to become a Decision Intelligence-enabled business, where data underpins every significant decision and every team has what they need to act. This role leads one of the most important parts of that journey.
Our greatest commercial opportunity is closing the gap between the data we have and the decisions our Commercial, Account Management and Finance teams make every day. That means moving from static reporting to proactive intelligence, giving those teams the kind of pre-emptive, contextualised insights that change how we win and retain dealer partners, and give Finance the foundations for more accurate revenue forecasting. That is the opportunity this role will lead on.
Reports To: Director of Analytics
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Richmond UK, Hybrid
What You'll Be Working On
- Own the analytical agenda for Commercial, Account Management and Finance, leading on dealer retention, ARPA performance, portfolio health and new business pipeline.
- Build and maintain a dealer churn propensity model and a Dealer Customer Lifetime Value model, enabling proactive intervention, protecting revenue, and giving Finance a data-driven foundation for more accurate forecasting.
- Deliver B2B dealer segmentation and surface Cost Per Lead, Days to Sell and listing performance benchmarking, turning Cazoo's proprietary data into something dealers can't get anywhere else and that our sales team leads every conversation with.
- Work with the wider Analytics CoE to ensure a single, trusted source of commercial data, resolving conflicting definitions and removing manual dependencies that slow the business down.
- Line manage the existing Commercial Data Analyst, mentoring, setting clear objectives, and helping them move from reactive data provision to proactive analytical contribution.
- Build trusted relationships across Commercial, Account Management and Finance becoming the go‑to analytical voice on dealer performance, retention and revenue forecasting, and delivering clear, decision-ready narratives that drive action.
What we ideally looking for;
Essential
- A track record as a Senior Data Analyst in a commercial, B2B or marketplace environment, with clear examples of moving from data to insight to business action and measurable commercial outcome.
- Deep experience in commercial analytics: churn propensity modelling, B2B segmentation, ARPA or revenue performance, and Cost Per Lead and lead quality analysis.
- Advanced SQL and strong Power BI skills, comfortable querying large‑scale cloud platforms independently and building self‑service dashboards that non‑technical stakeholders actually use.
- Proven ability to translate complex findings into clear narratives that drive decisions, the 'so what?' analyst, not the 'here is the data' analyst.
- Strong stakeholder management and experience managing or mentoring at least one other analyst.
- Agile ways of working: sprint ceremonies, JIRA or equivalent backlog management.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in automotive, used‑car, classifieds or dealer‑network environments.
- Python proficiency, particularly for propensity modelling, cohort analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with Databricks and dbt, the core of Cazoo’s data platform.
- Experience building churn propensity or CLV models, version control via GitHub, Salesforce CRM data as an analytical source, and Google Analytics or Looker Studio.
What Working In Analytics At Cazoo Means
- Immediate line management responsibility for an existing Commercial Data Analyst.
- Enterprise‑grade tooling from day one: Databricks, dbt, Power BI, GitHub.
- Direct access to a Director of Analytics who has built Decision Intelligence functions before, and Commercial and Finance leadership teams who are genuinely ready to act on what you surface.
- A clear career pathway and the opportunity to grow alongside Cazoo’s ambition to become the disruptor in the UK used‑car marketplace.
Our Values
Everything we do at Cazoo is shaped by three values: Fearless, Dynamic, and Better Together. They are not words on a wall, they are the lens we hire through and the behaviours we celebrate every day. If you are the kind of analyst who does not wait to be asked, who turns a data point into a recommendation and a recommendation into action, and who builds trust quickly across commercial and finance stakeholders, you will feel right at home here.
