An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, commercially minded and proactive Strategic Projects Manager to work directly alongside the CEO and COO across a diverse portfolio of business interests. This is not a traditional PA role. It is a hands-on, project-focused and commercially driven position for someone who can operate as an extension of the CEO, helping to manage strategic priorities, drive key projects forward, support business development, coordinate teams and ensure actions are delivered at pace.
The role will involve working across a range of dynamic projects, including SaaS, technology, football-related projects in the UK and Europe, media and newspaper-related activity, IT networking, facilities management, startup launches and other commercial ventures.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and COO, supporting projects from concept through to delivery, helping create structure, track progress, resolve blockers and ensure key business priorities are executed effectively. This position will also involve supporting North America-related projects from the UK, requiring flexibility around communication, coordination and time zones.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the CEO across strategic projects, business priorities and commercial activity
- Working closely with the COO on operations, project delivery and internal coordination
- Managing project plans, timelines, actions, milestones and follow-ups
- Coordinating internal teams, suppliers, contractors and external stakeholders
- Supporting business development, sales activity, proposals and commercial opportunities
- Assisting with marketing, brand, social media and launch activity
- Supporting performance management and accountability across project teams
- Representing the CEO and business professionally with partners, clients and stakeholders
- Responding to urgent CEO requirements outside standard working hours where business-critical
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working directly with a CEO, founder, managing director or C-suite executive, ideally within a startup, scale-up, technology or fast-growth business environment. Strong project management experience is essential, together with commercial awareness, business development or sales experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. This role would suit someone who is proactive, discreet, resilient, highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-led environment where priorities can change quickly.
Applicants must be comfortable with regular UK travel, overnight stays and involvement in UK, European and North America-related project activity. This is an opportunity to work at the centre of ambitious SaaS, technology, football and sports related tech projects, media and commercial projects, supporting the CEO and COO in building and delivering high-impact business ventures.
