We are looking for a brilliant Host/Hostess to join the team here at St Ermin’s Hotel. It will cover 5 days a week, covering 3 breakfast shifts and 2 dinner shifts on average. As a Host/Hostess, you will ensure to warmly welcome guests as they arrive at F&B outlets, ensuring each guest has a great first impression while embracing and displaying the St Ermin’s culture of Fun, Love and Energy.
What will you be doing?
- Meet and greet every guest on arrival, smiling and using their name, whilst providing exceptional service and hospitality.
- Engage in conversation with guests and, when possible, find out how they are enjoying their stay at the hotel. Feedback any positive/constructive feedback to one of the F&B managers.
- Be able to work with and manage bookings through our online booking system: Bookatable, Sevenrooms, and our website.
- Proceed bookings and pass all the accurate information to guests.
- Update daily the F&B forecast.
- Contact and respond to emails/phone calls from guests.
- Print daily bookings for managers and chefs.
- Print menus and be the main point of contact between outlets.
- Complete the stationary order for all the outlets.
- Taking into account the individual guest’s needs, serving guests in any F&B outlet in a warm, friendly and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all preparation duties are carried out to the outlet standard on applicable shifts.
- Ensure that all areas are correctly set up and that they are clean, in accordance with the schedule, including stations, fridges and cupboards.
You will have to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for the role.
