Job Description:
Enitial (a division of Cawood Scientific) currently has an opportunity for a regional-based Environmental Technician working within our Field Services Team. This role will conduct routine monitoring across Enitial services and activities and is predominantly site-based.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the individual in this role will be competent across a range of services and encouraged to specialise in certain areas with the goal of becoming a Senior Technician following extensive training and onsite exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine environmental monitoring across our Water and Compliance service areas in accordance with company protocols, quality assurance requirements, and client specifications.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of environmental control systems and client infrastructure.
- Provide a reliable, efficient, and professional service to our clients at Enitial.
- Liaise with clients onsite, building trust and fostering long-term relationships.
- Maintain Enitial\’s credibility by representing the company positively in the field, keeping equipment, vehicles, and PPE clean.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment and vehicles as per protocols.
- Work collaboratively within regional teams, supporting and assisting colleagues.
- Report deviations from methods or non-conformances that could impact data integrity to relevant managers.
- Manage time effectively, reviewing schedules and suggesting improvements to workflows.
- Accurately manage and report data in line with client and company requirements.
- Prioritize safety, reporting accidents and near misses immediately to managers and clients.
- Comply with \’Stay Safe\’ remote working policies during fieldwork.
- Coordinate with laboratories and couriers to ensure sample compliance.
- Complete administrative tasks such as expenses and vehicle checks in accordance with company policies.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Enthusiastic about working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Proactive problem solver with a proven track record.
- Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when working remotely.
- Willing to engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends, travel, and overnight stays.
- Environmental monitoring experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
