Cawingredients manufacture and supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market. We are looking to recruit additional Technical Process Operators to join a fast moving, dynamic business. We are a profitable and sustainable business that can offer job security, training, and ongoing development. The position is both challenging and fulfilling, where recognition for hard work, commitment and achievement is given. The company has won several awards, including 'Fastest Growing Business in Yorkshire' and investment into the facility is ongoing.

The Technical Process Operator role will involve working an annualised 12-hour shift pattern on a '4 on 4 off' basis consisting of 2 days, and 2 nights. Examples of some of the duties required from the successful applicant:

  • Manufacture and blending of syrup batches
  • Reconciliation of materials via SAP ECC 6.0
  • Performing analytical tests using HPLC's, auto-titrators, spectrophotometers etc to ensure product adheres to strict specifications
  • Performing basic checks and calibrations on equipment used
  • Continual monitoring of vital systems within the process
  • The completion of relevant documentation to a high standard
  • The continual upkeep of hygiene standards
  • To work as part of a team to achieve the shared goals of self and team
  • Working with other departments to assist in problem solving and the implementation of corrective actions

The above list is not exhaustive, and the role will continue to develop in line with the business or departmental needs. Successful candidates will need to be reliable with their own transport to site, and the following skills:

  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • Good initiative and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to efficiently organise workload
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel

Although not essential, some of the below may be beneficial to your application:

  • Previously worked in the food industry
  • Ingredient mix batching / blending
  • Experience in lab testing and analysis.
