The Facilities and Yard Operative role will involve working an 40 hours a week Monday - Friday.

Cawingredients supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market. We operate from a state of the art production and warehousing facility based on one site in North Yorkshire.

We currently employ over 600 people are seeking to strengthen our team.

Recruiting the right people is an integral part of our growth plans.If you want to be part of a highly focused environment, where attention to detail, excellent skills and diligence is required this could be the role for you.

You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles, with Counterbalance license being essential. You will need to have worked within fast paced warehousing/distribution environment previously.

You will be required to operate MHE equipment with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety at all times.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contact waste removal contractors for collections and control documentation.
  • Loading and recording recycling consignments (including ingredient containers for return/recycling).
  • Maintenance of waste container capacities and move containers as required.
  • Daily cleaning of compaction / bailer area and can crusher – report any faults / issues as required.
  • Assist in monitoring waste processes and performance.
  • Oversee hazardous waste area and management of hazardous waste prior to collection.
  • Yard cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Cleaning of bunds and external vessels
  • Washing drums prior to sending for recycling
  • Snow/ice clearance and gritting
  • Assist with environmental audits
  • Assist with site services (environmental technician) by taking samples from the Effluent plant when needed.

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Warehousing/distribution NVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience within a FMCG environment
  • Counterbalance license
  • Experience of working in demanding environments
  • Bulk stacking and drive in racking experience
