Overview
You have embarked on a career in probate, estate administration and trust taxation and are looking to build on the expertise that you already have. You could also have experience with private client taxation and be keen to move into this area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare draft IHT400 forms to support grant of probate applications
- Compile probate papers for submission
- Capture estate data using specialist software
- Draft estate accounts
- Prepare self assessment tax returns including capital gains computations and property income schedules
- Prepare and submit 60 day CGT Returns and IHT forms for trusts
- Handle estate tax returns
- Liaise with HMRC when required
Experience and qualifications
- An understanding of how probate works
- An ability to reach the submission stage from information and knows how to do an IHT400
