In Person Newcastle upon Tyne | Part-time / Freelance / Flexible Studio-based role
We’re looking for a proactive, hands‑on Studio Assistant to support the day‑to‑day running of a busy creative studio. This role is focused on the physical studio environment. You’ll be helping ensure the space is client‑ready, organised, and running smoothly for photoshoots, video productions, and creative sessions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing the studio before bookings (tidying, resetting sets, organising furniture & props)
- Ensuring lighting equipment, backdrops and kit are ready and in place
- Assisting on shoot days with basic setup and pack‑down
- Keeping the studio clean, presentable and visually on‑brand
- Managing stock levels of essentials (cleaning supplies, refreshments, etc.)
- Supporting photographers / videographers where needed
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, punctual and detail‑oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced creative environment
- Physically able to move light furniture and equipment
- Takes initiative – you notice what needs doing and just do it
- Friendly and professional around clients
The Ideal Person
You’re someone who:
- Has an eye for aesthetics and presentation
- Thrives behind the scenes making things run seamlessly
Photography or videography experience is a bonus, but not essential. If you understand basic lighting setups or have worked on shoots before, that’s great – but attitude and work ethic matter more. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting experience in a working studio environment and exposure to real client shoots.
Please send your CV and a short introduction to Francesca@caviarstudios.co.uk if interested. If you have a portfolio or examples of previous studio/creative work, feel free to include those too.
