Role and responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed the Company's Security’s new business & retention targets by providing prospective and existing customers with bespoke, innovative & competitive solutions.
- Establishing and maintaining excellent client relationships through proactive account management is essential, as is staying up-to-date with market changes and opportunities, so that the Company's business remains the security provider of choice for our customers.
- Establish yourself as the security specialist by attending industry forums, networking events and obtaining relevant market intelligence and reports from colleagues, contacts and customers.
- Develop & maintain the Sales Strategy – identify key market sectors, particularly focused on Living Wage and Social Enterprise, that require security solutions that blend physical and electronic options, placing the Company's Security at the forefront of the industry.
- Seek out new partners and alliances that continue to provide the most effective & technically innovative solution to our customers.
Working with the frontline Sales team:
- Ensure each has a customer prospect database, aligned to the sector market strategy, that enables you to achieve and exceed the business sales & retention target.
- Sales information is stored and maintained on recognised CRM software.
- Potential customers have engagement plans well in advance of formal tender dates to maximise each opportunity.
- Current major customers are to be included in this database to support account development, cross-selling and ultimately retention.
Working with the Bid Team:
- Tender diary is updated and maintained to ensure each opportunity is allocated appropriate support & resources to meet deadlines and enable successful conversion.
- Regularly review proposal content to meet customer expectations and to reflect innovation & best practice.
- Develop product marketing campaigns with our partners that align and support the sales strategy.
Working with the Commercial team:
- Regularly review cost model and margin frameworks to ensure competitive proposals are submitted to current and potential customers.
- Working with the Commercial Manager, ensure key activity/performance reports are issued with agreed & relevant operating metrics.
Marketing:
- Create and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and sales targets.
- Act as the primary liaison with external PR agencies (e.g., Magenta) to coordinate press releases, media relations, and public statements.
- Plan and execute external marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
- Conduct and commission market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and networking events to build market presence and gather intelligence.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry bodies to support business development and brand advocacy.
- Manage your ongoing training and career development, ensuring an improved skill and competency level within the team, including both technical knowledge and senior-level sales skills.

- Experience of delivering sales budgets in excess of £10m.
- Previous senior leadership experience within sales (preferably Security/Soft FM services).
