Our client is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team, supporting a number of major projects across the South East and London regions. Current schemes include works associated with HS2 Ltd, Gatwick Airport, and other major civil and infrastructure projects.
At our client, Quantity Surveying is viewed as a key function in successful project delivery. The role involves managing the company’s financial interests while supporting the wider project team to achieve the client’s vision from pre-construction through to final account settlement.
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of projects from mobilisation through to completion. Working closely with project delivery teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will play a key role in cost management, procurement, reporting, and commercial performance across multiple live projects.
- Assist in the procurement and appointment of specialist subcontractors
- Manage subcontract valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Prepare and submit client valuations and commercial reports
- Carry out cost value reconciliations and monthly reporting
- Assist in preparing and agreeing project final accounts
- Provide proactive commercial and contractual support to project teams
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction-related discipline.
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction or civil engineering.
Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills.
Proven experience managing subcontractor and client relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Full UK driving licence preferred.
