We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join one of our well-established clients in London.
Our client is a leading UK-based contractor specializing in Heavy Civils, RC Frames, and Groundworks.
Requirements:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a £5m RC Frame and Groundworks project.
- Manage the project from pre-construction through to handover.
- Develop, monitor, and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Lead site teams, including Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor resources effectively.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Work closely with the commercial team to manage project costs, variations, and contractual matters.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Review and approve RAMS, construction methodologies, and site documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit project reports to senior management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the RC Frame and Groundworks sector.
- Experience successfully delivering projects valued between £3m and £15m+.
- Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, planning, and resource management.
- Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning software.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- SMSTS Certificate.
- CSCS Black Card or appropriate management-level CSCS card.
- First Aid at Work Certificate.
- Temporary Works Coordinator (advantageous).
- Relevant industry qualifications and memberships are desirable.
